Is this a new direction for me? My wife and daughters sure think so! This canvas was supposed to be a canvas to mess around and test my paint, because when I made a couple of orders of Dang Paint from Bombing Science, they sent me a lot of #1340 Rhubarb. I wanted a better look at this color out of the can and onto the canvas.

I am still getting acquainted with all these *new colors (*new – time sensitive/relative) and brands from Dang (179 colors), Kobra (143 colors), Montana (217 colors), etc. I’m an old school Krylon guy and their 46 colors! Thankful for the Atlanta Style Writers wall jam as this event, along with Dr. Dax, has brought me back to “life” and introduced me to these *new brands and colors!

Is this Dang Paint Rhubarb color a variation of Krylon Brick? The only way to find out is to put the dang paint on canvas! Sorta’ not really, but I like it! This color went onto the canvas second. I started with the Mint #1100 and felt like I was replicating works previously painted. When I started laying down the Rhubarb, the paint went down flat and solid! I liked the contrast of the solid against the airy Mint. So I came in with the Lime #620 with the same airy feel, thinking all this would make a great base to add more layers. But as I stood back and looked at the canvas as a whole, it had that “feeling!” When you get that feeling, you stop, hold the paint, and let it breathe for a minute. I felt like this canvas was finished!
