The Swipe of Gray Matter canvas measuring 20” x 16” was completed on April 1, 2024, upon building out the basement art studio of my Colorado Springs home. This original work of art is acrylic aerosol and pencil on canvas. This was the first canvas completed from the new workspace and was started while the space was still coming together. Initially, I was calling this the “test canvas,” as I just wanted to test the space and get to work, and this was that “I’m just testing out my paint and space” canvas! This work was not finished in “one go” but evolved over a few days while I finished putting the studio together.
