Choosing colors… Is it emotional? Yes, to a degree, but you have to choose from the supplied palette from your current surplus for spontaneity. So having a plethora of colors on hand allows that emotional creativity to wander what mixes, matches, and coordinates in the land of abstract aerosol expressionism in the moment. While my background in street art style writing, aka graffiti, has always been about the letters, when bringing the “outside” inside onto canvas, it has been about the atmosphere, only constrained by the canvas border.
This work is called Camoroid Loops, as this is a continuation of my camouflage interpretation, with a little Saturn orange asteroid filling the atmospheric background. See my blog post about that inspiration, “My intrigue with Camouflage.“
