BMX Graffiti Collage – RAD1visuals / Rodney Wills

I’ve lost and left behind a lot of art over the years, but this one is still around and recently resurfaced… unboxed.
This is a small collage I put together, and hand drew onto with markers and colored pencils. I created this somewhere between 1984 – 1986. My mix of BMX and graffiti influences inspired this collage. Note the Krylon spray can, a re-draw of a @Bob_Haro drawing, and a photo of @RLOsbornbmxfreestyle on a @RedLinevintagebmx.
Most likely, this photo was taken from an old issue of @BMXActionMagazine, and I copied it with a photocopier. Also, I can tell this was after meeting Phase-II and @Delta2NY when they came to Atlanta to showcase their art at Fay Gold Gallery. Add Keith Haring to the field of influence as well. I gave this 8” x 10” piece of art to my wifey when we were dating, but it had been put away in storage for a few years with the two major “life-moves” we’ve made moving from California to Alabama and Colorado.
The BMX Graffiti Collage is now back on display in the RAD1visuals residence.
